Free extensions for Joomla!

I am using Joomla 1.5 and phpbb with the joomlaphp bridge and have encountered a bug. On all of my Joomla pages the Global News module displays exactly how it should. I have it set up as a content slider with the links to other articles in the list displayed. However when you view the forum, the module seems to break. It displays the box the correct size, as if it were acting as a content slider, except it displays the actual content in a static way.

Is there any way to fix this? Unfortunately the template I am using (JA_Purity) does not allow different templates to be set for different pages so I can not use a different template and just not display it for the forum (as far as I know anyway).

Please try replacing mod_globalnews/tmpl/slider.php for the file provided in the following thread and see if that fixes your problem:
