Free extensions for Joomla!

Just installed the tabs module and having some problems. The tabs are empty (no module content) and when I click the links nothing happens. It looks like the tab links are defaulting to #. Any ideas? The tabs looks good and I want to get them working. Using a custom template. Have tab modules w/ 3 tabs in the 1st, 2 in the 2nd, and 2 in the 3rd.

Using visible positions tabs1, tabs2, tabs3.

Using .xml listed positions (not in the template only in the template .xml file) named fake1 (3 modules), fake2 (2 modules), fake3 (2 modules).

Any ideas?
