Free extensions for Joomla!

Hi,

How can I remove voting for some of my articles. I am using Joomla 2.5. I have tried hiding the hits and votes but nothing worked.
I also tried to use the uncategorized article but failed to hide the stars.

I saw in documentation how to do that but that is for Joomla 1.5. Please help.

It's probably not the answer you want, but if you switch to K2, you can customise "templates" for each category of articles, which allows you to specify whether voting is enabled for each or not. And K2 is so much better, too

There must be a way to turn off the voting system for a specific category.

yes, the proceedure is pretty much the same for Joomla 2.5 as for 1.5:

• Create the new Category List/Blog menu item. It doesn't matter what menu it belongs to; it could be a hidden menu
• Select "Voting: Hide" from the Article options and save it
