Free extensions for Joomla!

Hello I am using a YooTheme template on Joomla 2.5.2 with ExtraVote 1.6.0. The plugin has been installed and published, the regular Joomla vote plugin has been disabled. The stars show above the article but when I click to vote I get the loading message then nothing. No votes are recorded. I do have a Extra Vote Table in my database but despite multiple voting efforts nothing is entered in the DB. Please Help!

I have exactly the same problem that Mr jlearned explain here,
my site is on hosting on IIS server and I don't have access to php log!

Me and jlearned are in same situation ,
I've checked that does not insert anything into the _content_extravote tabe after voting (clicking on stars)!
After that I did manually insert some data into the table, and the number of votes appeared beside the stars.

Just to add some details. I am using the PHP Version 5.3.14.
