[SOLVED] Error 500 at Backend. Unable to use Xmap

Postby stash » Tue Oct 23, 2012 10:02 am

Hi.

Installed last version http://joomla.vargas.co.cr/attachments/article/46/pkg-xmap-2.3.0.zip
During install no error was reported, everythiong seemed to be installed Ok and a new menu item on backend was created.

When I try to use XMAP at backend's menu the server throws an error 500.
A review of apache's error.log show the next line:

PHP Fatal error: Class 'JControllerLegacy' not found in /var/www/vhosts/[domain.name]/httpdocs/administrator/components/com_xmap/xmap.php on line 20, referer: http://[domain.name]/administrator/index.php?option=com_installer&view=install

No more significant error lines found.

My system information next:

System: Linux 2.6.18-308.16.1.el5 #1 SMP Tue Oct 2 22:01:43 EDT 2012 x86_64
Database version: 5.0.95
Database Collation utf8_general_ci
PHP version 5.2.17
Web Server Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS)
PHP interface apache2handler
Joomla! version Joomla! 2.5.4 Stable [ Ember ] 2-April-2012 14:00 GMT
Joomla! Platform Joomla Platform 11.4.0 Stable [ Brian Kernighan ] 03-Jan-2012 00:00 GMT
User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/22.0.1229.94 Safari/537.4

Tried to install just com_xmap and again the same behavior. No error during install but no usable at all. Again error 500 at backend when trying tu use XMAP menu.

Thanks you very much.

SOLVED - NOT XAMP BUG

Please do not spend a minute on this issue.
Finally problem was a faulty joomla upgrade made weeks ago that did not give a problem until now.
Folder /libraries/cms/controller and its content was missing in Joomla upgrade and it was not a XMAP fault.
Reupgrading joomla installation did solve the error.

I do post this because it could be usefull to others.
