Documentation for coding our own plugins?
Hi,
I have a custom component that is in use on a Joomla site and I'd like to write a plugin to allow it be fully included in the xmap sitemaps.
Is there anywhere that gives details of how to develop a plugin for xmap other than just looking over the existing plugins?
Thanks,
Tom.
BTW: The password restrictions enforced on signup to this forum are extremely restrictive, almost to the point of me giving in. I can imagine this is a very big issue from a usability POV for new users.

I'm also interested in it. At least a little description of the functions to be used / called and maybe the output.

Re: Documentation for coding our own plugins?
I too am writing a plugin for Xmap to support the Bible Study component. I have looked at many plugins already written and have been successful for the most part but a few issues linger that I can't address without some sort of knowledge of the api.
For instance, is there a way to strip off the web site from the $node->link, which Xmap adds automatically? $node->browserNav=1 does not seem to work as expected (opening in a new window).
Is there a way to add anything to that link, like some javascript so it could open in a popup window (we are linking to audio/video files and a player).
Some docs would be so helpful! BTW - working in Joomla 1.7 and Xmap 2.0
Thanks!
Tom
