Free extensions for Joomla!

Just rewriting a plugin for a component so it works with new XMAP and on Joomla 2.5

In the old version I used

access=$xmap->gid

but this is not available anymore. What do I know need to use? Couldn't extract the info from extisting plugins and I didn't found any docu to it ...
