Free extensions for Joomla!

I just upgraded a site to 2.5 and found that XMap is not functioning quite as it used to for us. We have certain categories where we don't want to see any articles in the site map, and other categories where we want to see all the articles. We can't go and hand uncheck an article for a category every time we create - is there no way to collapse specific categories without collapsing all of them?
