MySQL adapter "mysql" is not available
I received the following error message when trying to install com_xmap-1[1].0.4.zip.
The MySQL adapter "mysql" is not available.
-> ERROR: Not able to create Settings table
The MySQL adapter "mysql" is not avaialable.
This message is followed by additional error information starting with
Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_num_rows() in C:...mysql.php on line 312.
My system is running the following:
apache 2.2.6
php 5.2.4
mysql 5.0.45
I'm new to all of this but suspect that the problem is that I've specified the use of mysql 5.0 and mysqli rather than mysql.
Any help in resolving this would be appreciated and apologies for the hyper-newbie distraction.

Re:MySQL adapter "mysql" is not available
Apologies to the forum. I figured it out. For other's with similar lack of understanding, I went to my php.ini file and installed the extension for php_mysql.dll (& restarted my apache server). That did the trick.
