Problems after installation
Having spent many hours trying to find a good multimedia gallery to work with Joomla 1.5, I was delighted to find that Vargas had taken on z00m and recently released a new version. However, having just installed it on Joomla 1.5.9, I've run straight into a couple of major problems.
- First, I can't create any galleries. I add a title and select public access, but I can't fill in the description box and whenever I hit Save new gallery nothing happens. (If I select Save Ordering I get a progress pop up that never seems to finish.) Without any galleries, I can't even begin to test the capabilities of this component. Is there something I'm missing here? Do I need to create a physical directory somewhere first or anything?
- Second, if I go to create a menu link to the component, the page auto-forwards to http://joomla.vargas.co.cr/ whenever I click to modify title/alias etc.
Obviously these two problems combined are making the component unusable. If anyone can help I would very much appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Re: Problems after installation
Hi, are you using other editor (wysiwyg) than the default? Can you check if you have any JavaScript error in your console (using firefox)
About the second, I'm afraid I don't understand it very well. At what moment is the page redirected to joomla.vargas.co.cr?

Re: Problems after installation
Thanks for your response. I was using the default editor, but it looks like both issues were browser specific. The problems were both present in Safari, but this morning I've tested them in both Firefox and IE7 and things seem fine. Since to the best of my knowledge the site management will mainly be using IE, it shouldn't be too much of a problem - although obviously any thoughts would be helpful.
To clarify, the second issue was occurring whenever I went into Menu Manager and selected the Zoom Media Gallery menu item type. When I started to type into Title or Alias box, the page was automatically forwarding to joomla.vargas.co.cr. As I said, this seems to have resolved itself now that I'm using a different browser, but I thought you might find it useful.
Thanks again for your help.

This is useless. No real instructions or documentation. Very disappointed. I get same problems as above with various browsers. Just live and learn plenty free galleries that work with Joomla 1.5
