XMAP 2.3.3 - HTML sitemap is different to XML sitemap

Postby dplmartin » Fri Jun 07, 2013 9:12 am

I'm running XMAP 2.3.3 on Joomla 3.1.1.

I have a menu link to the XMap HTML sitemap. I've noticed that some of the menu items from my main navigation menu are missing from the HTML sitemap. Yet when I look in the Google submitted XML version, the pages are there.

The main menu consists of three parent items, all with children. Two of the parent items and two levels of their children are listed OK in the HTML sitemap. The third parent item has 7 children and each of those has child items. At the moment, only the first menu from the 7 children and its 3 child entries are showing on the HTML sitemap. The other 6 children and 34 of their child items are missing.

All the menu items are Public. They're just a mixture of External URL and Single Article menu types. All the items that are missing are in a Published state.

Any ideas?

No, not a single reply or suggestion and I still have the same issue. XMAP even confirms it when you visit the component. It says that my one and only sitemap has 49 numbered items for the HTML sitemap and 93 numbered items for the XML sitemap. The missing links are all child items from the parent of one top level menu entity.

To reiterate, the top level menu entry that I have a problem with is a single article link. It has 7 child menu links (2nd level). Each of those seven children menu links is an external URL type (they link to internal pages but I needed control over the url used). Each of the 7 child menu entries also have children of their own (3rd level), which are single article links again.

What I see listed in the HTML sitemap is the top level menu entry and its first child (external URL) listing. That child (2nd level) has two children of its own (3rd level - single articles) and they show up. The remaining 6 child menu entries (2nd level) and their children (3rd level) don't appear in the HTML sitemap (only the XML version). XMAP skips over them to include the next top level menu entry and its children.
