Free extensions for Joomla!

I hope my very first question will be answered shortly and I thank you here in advance.

I just started to learn SEO and realized sitemap is the top thing I should create for my website. I came across xmap which is recommended by many people, I really appreciate the author to share this tool.

The question is: I installed it on my site http://www.msmortgage.ca and tried to create a sitemap, the site has some pages already and presumably the sitemap should contain something, but the issue here is the sitemap is empty. I believe I already followed up the steps to create the sitemap, since this is my very first sitemap, I might have missed something, can anyone tell me what might cause this issue?

Hi, did you selected any menu on your sitemap? On Xmap's backend, open your sitemap and choose what menus do you want to be included on it by marking the checkbox.

Thank you very much, I didn't even notice there is checkbox beside the menu

Other than creating/submitting sitemap, what else I can do in terms of SEO? Thanks.

There are a lot SEO tutorial on the web for Joomla with different tips. I would suggest you to read several of them as it will depend on your site and you will learn a little from each of them.
