Free extensions for Joomla!

I have always used Xmap on Joomla 1.x sites without any trouble.

Now I upgraded to Joomla 2.5.8 (fresh clean install), installed XMap 2.3.2, enabled the plugins and created a sitemap.

When I click "XMap" link it opens a new window, keeps loading and finally stops loading and presents a fully blank page.

I deleted XMap and reinstalled but this doesn't work.

I don't use .htaccess. Joomla map rights are set well

Anyone an idea whats wrong? Is this a bug or is some setting wrong?

Do you see any errors in your PHP error log file about Xmap?

Same problem. After a long loading time, there is only an "Internal Server Error" message. The php error log is empty
Update: I tried to disable all the optional things (introtext, menutitle, compress, beautify), but still have error. I have PHP 5.2.17 in this server
I tried on an other server with PHP 5.3. It works like a charm
But my site is on the first server

Same problem - upgrading to Joomla 2.5.8 seemed to kill my Xmap (version 2.2) html site map and replace it with a blank white screen in the front end. I then upgraded Xmap to the latest version (2.3.2) but the blank white screen remains.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

No errors are visible in error.php.

I have discovered one other curious fact about this problem. If I create a new site map (eg Site map 1) and point to it from a menu item, I get a blank white screen despite the site map being visible from within the component (by clicking on XML site map). However, if I create a second site map (eg Site map 2) which contains nothing (because no menus were selected when it was created), and point the menu item to the empty Site map 2, then Site map 1 is displayed correctly when the menu item is selected. ie, point to an empty site map and the correct on is displayed!

I've spent hours on this and done all I can including reading every forum post I can find. Any comments would be appreciated.

Yes this looks like a problem with Xamp 2.3.2 and joomla 2.5.6 that when i first seen the problem, an upgrade to 2.5.8 solved nothing. Google reads the xml perfect but as for the HTML sitemap i'm throwing in the hat on this one i've been at it for hours and can't find whats causing the HTML not to generate. I do hope a workaround or an upgrade will be on its way. This extension is amazing and ive never had a problem with this extension.If i find a solution i will post it here.

Try to open Xmap component recieve this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method JLanguage::getBackwardLang() in /administrator/components/com_xmap/admin.xmap.php on line 25

(I deleted the root path from the above error.)

In ~/administrator/components/com_xmap/xmap.php
you might want to comment out the lines after
"# For compatibility with older versions of Joola 2.5" (sic!)

like this:
