I would like put the plugin "extravote" in my article, I download zip file, upload througth extension manager, activate plugin and disactivate main vote plugin of joomla. Its appear on top of my article, perfect! But when I'm trying vote, appears animated gif of working-in-progress and then nothing appens : vote remaining 0.
I try with Chrome, Explorer and Mozilla, delete cache evry time but without solution. I try delete and reinstall plugin but nothing.
Searching in this forum I see that is needed modify permission, so I change permission to 777 of ALL of file and folder of Extravote, in component and administrator. But nothing.
I use Joomla 2.5.4 Stable [ Ember ] with this components:
- Virtuemart 2.0.10
- Fox contact
- Vitabook
and template made with Artisteer 3
So ... someone can help me?

I have the same problem.... stara are ok but i click and nothing appens............

I suddenly had the same problem and it where a problem in the ajax.php file.

Fix for me :
plugins/content/extravote/assets/ajax.php

Comment out this :
//$app->initialise();

Vargas please confirm this will not break any other things?

This seems to be the right fix, then. Although I never experienced this problem, it could be an issue for other users.

So I have updated the package hoping that this problem will finally disapper by removing that line.

I have download and install the latest extravote, just today, and it doesn't work.
Here mentioned to comment out this for a fix.
//$app->initialise();

However, the version I have installed is commented out already, but it is just not working, then I try to re-enable these lines and it is working now, so anyone installed the latest version but not works may try this...
$app = JFactory::getApplication('site');
$app->initialise();
