snuffit wrote:As for now your k2 plugin is very useful. But I experienced one issue when creating a xml-sitemap:
Xmap generates a sitemap link like

"joomla3/component/k2/test-item".

But it should be

"/joomla3/theater/test-item"

Thank you for xmap_k2_plugin v1.3, mhem!

For me your update on xmap_k2_plugin v1.3 generates now "/joomla3/theater/test-item" rather than undisired "joomla3/component/k2/test-item".

So the issue I observed is fixed now. Thanks!

Another question I have: Might it be possible to generate the xml-sitemap from the k2-items directly rather than from menu-links? Because I use menu links to display k2-items from multiple categories as well as menu links for single categories. So I have duplicate links in the xml-sitemap. If I set Suppress Duplicates via option in xmap_k2_plugin settings the plugin supresses the wrong links. See attached picture...

Any idea on that?

I use:
Joomal! 3.0.3 with SEF-URLs "on" and url rewrite "on"
K2 2.6.5 with advanced SEF-settings "on"
Xmap 2.3.3 beta with xmap_k2_plugin v1.3

Xmap 2.3.3 beta minor issue

Postby trotskyicepick » Fri Apr 05, 2013 9:32 am

Just installed this update and it does indeed provide more functionality than the original, but I still cannot find where to go to actually view the sitemap that has been created, therefore I can obviously not submit it to Google etc.

I'm sure this is just an oversight on my part since this update to XMap works much better in every respect.

Just to update, I can now view my sitemap from the XMap components admin page, but what URL do I submit to search engines? as the one linked to from the above page is not very friendly?

Thanks for the very quick response. That's as I thought, it just looks like a very un-SEO url, but I'm happy if it works.

Great job.

When is this going to be released as a production version? It fixed all of the problems I was having!

... it also created a new problem (minor one). I cant get my K2 articles to not display on the HTML sitemap. Once the K2 plugin is enabled, they always display no matter what options I choose.
